Mr Frog

I need your help!!! I noticed a weird green thing hanging from the top of my pram while Maman and I were out for a walk. She insists it's a Mr Frog but I'm really not sure. I was checking it out for a while and then I got bored. I'm not sure I want to be sharing my pram though?!? Is that a bit selfish of me or what do you think?

My 1st trip to Rochespoint

Grandpa used to spend his holidays in Rochespoint when he was small as Great Granny & Grandpa Ross have a house down there. Well the house is still in the family and it gets visited by different family members in the summer time. Maman's cousin Karen was there the other day with her husband Sean and their children Keira, Ryan and Callum who would be my 2nd cousins. Turns out Callum is only 4 weeks older than me so we had our photo taken together so we can laugh about it in years to come!

Here are some sample photos of my day trip to Rochespoint with Maman. If you want to see all the photos then make sure to click here: Rochespoint album

I love sitting up

I've finally managed to get Maman to start sitting me up on my own leaning against the sofa :-) I love that position

My friend Poppy

I just realised that I have yet to introduce you to my friend Poppy. She was born 6 months before me so she looks much bigger than me at the moment but that will soon change when I start catching her up. You'd love Poppy she has a great personality and I hope I can be as cheeky as her in 6 months time.

I finally got Maman to take some photos of the two of us together ...

Hosting Mamas & Babas group

Maman & I hosted a small Mamas & Babas baby group on Tuesday and had a lovely time. 3 Mums and their babies couldn't make it so we weren't as big a group as normal but we still ended up with 4 adults,  one 4 year old, one toddler and 4 babies in the house :-)

My friends Poppy & Naima actually stayed on for lunch too and we were very good to our Mummies as we decided to all sleep at the same time so that they could enjoy their lunch!

messing with Maman & Daddy

When Daddy came home from work the other day we all ended up messing around and chatting together I had a lovely time. They even let me stand and flap my arms around like a bird! I really enjoyed my quality time with both of them together ...

I'm a shopaholic

I grabbed these off these tops off a rack in Mothercare and wouldn't let go until Maman promised me she'd buy them for me!!!

My dedication

Maman & Daddy had me dedicated last Sunday 24th July. This means that they have dedicated me to God and promised to bring me up in a Christian environment so that I can make my own decision when I'm older as to whether I want to get baptised or not. I know they really hope and pray that I do so watch this space :-)

Tata Emilie and Daddy's best friend Ronan are my Godparents and they both said lovely prayers up at the front of the church with us. We then had loads of people from church as well as all my Grandparents and Uncle Ben and Auntie Rachel come up and pray a collective prayer over me. It was really lovely.

After that about 40 people came back to our house to have some of Daddy's yummy food. There was even a cake there with my name written on it how cool is that?! ;-)

Once again there were loads of photos taken during my dedication day so I've posted a few below but you'll find all of them if you click here: Amélie's dedication album

Another visit to Great Granny Ross

I went to see Great Granny Ross again and had another photo taken with her. This time when we went in Great Granny actually said "Hello Little One" to me :-) She and I also had a really long staring competition that I ended up losing as I gave her the biggest smile.

I like to stand

I know I'm not yet 2 months old but I just can't stop wanting to stand. Maman won't let me do it too often at the moment but when she does I'm in my element...

chatting with Maman

I love my morning chats with Maman ...

Swing chair update

I thought I'd update you on the situation regarding the swing chair that my friend Poppy kindly lent me. You might not remember me putting a post up back in June mentioning how great the swing chair is?!? Well anyway turns out I actually only liked it that first time Daddy put me in it but after that I hated it :-( I can't tell you why but I sort of think it could have been that I was still a bit too small. Any time I would be put into it I would start crying and praying that someone would understand that my cry was a genuine "Get me out of here" cry. Thankfully they always seemed to understand even if some times they let me cry on my own in there for 10 minutes first before picking me up pfffff!

Now that I'm that little bit bigger I must say I really love it - truly I do. It always seems to rock me to sleep...

my 1st lifejacket!

Wow they actually make lifejackets for tiny people like me!

Granjay spotted a baby's lifejacket in Barnett's shop in Schull while Tata Emilie was buying herself a pair of Crocs and couldn't resist buying it. It's for babies from 5kgs to 15kgs and will be for me to use as well as my future boy or girl cousin that Tata Emilie has promised to give me at the end of September possibly beginning of October.

I asked Maman to take a photo of me in the lifejacket as soon as we got home. Apologies though as I ended up falling asleep in it I found it so comfortable!

my very 1st boat trip

Maman & I drove back down to Schull for the day last Friday and I am so glad we did as I got to have my first trip out in Grandpa's boat!
There wasn't a lifejacket small enough for me so Maman wrapped me up tightly in my Mobi wrap and then put her lifejacket around the two of us.
The trip was fantastic. The sun was shining so I didn't get to see all that much as I was wrapped up and hidden away. I even had a muslin cloth over my head to protect me! Maman did uncover me from time to time though for a few photos and also to show me dolphins that were swimming nearby. There were about 5 swimming together and I loved seeing them. We also got to see another funny looking animal too but I forget it's name - I think it was something like squeal or maybe it was a beal I'm not sure ;-)

Anyway here are some photos that were taken to mark the occasion of my first boat trip...

my 1st smock

Great Uncle Colin & Great Auntie Phoebe kindly gave me my first ever smock. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly. Maman tells me that she and Tata Emilie and their cousin Katherine used to wear smocks when they were little.

I can't wait to see their photos but in the meantime here are my photos. I've got my back turned to the camera in the second pic I'm afraid as I was too busy telling Maman how tall I want to be when I'm all grown up.

Thank you very much for your kind present Great Uncle Col & Great Auntie Phoebe. I can't wait to see you in a few days time :-)

Hoodies are so comfy

If you're reading my blog then I presume you all know my Maman and how much she loves to wear hoodies?!? Well I must say I can totally see why - They are just so comfortable & cosy!!!

A la Francaise :-)

Maman bought me my first french hat today! It's called a beret. I think it might still be a bit too big for me tho...

Buggy smiles

Granjay & Grandpa bought a Maxicosy car seat for their car so that my future cousin & I can travel with them when we go and visit. I managed to convince Granjay to go for the red colour as I wanted to swap it for my black seat! She agreed and so I gave everyone big smiles to thank them :-)

I met my cousin Daniel :-)

I met my cousin Daniel today and gave him some of my best smiles as a thank you for the presents he gave me. He held me in his arms and my other cousin Niamh also held me for a small bit. They seem nice and friendly. I hope they will want to play with me when I'm older and can run around with them...

Smiles with Daddy

I had some special quality time with Daddy the other morning. We just kept cooing at each other. I ended up giving him some of my best smiles and it seemed to make him go even more gaga over me!!!!
