Chilling with Naiima & Poppy

Naiima & Poppy came to visit me again today. Maman took another photo of the 3 of us on my quilt and I'm definitely catching them up in length :-)
We had  a lovely day together...

I do so love to stand

Maman's finally realised just how much I love to stand and so she's now started to help me get better at it.

She's taught me to hold onto my playpen bars which means that I can stand all on my own holding onto the bars for quite a long time. Maman hasn't yet been able to time me though because she needs both her hands free to stop me from banging my head against the bars when I start looking at the floor!

My new entertainer

I got a new entertainer the other day but Maman kept telling me that I was too small for it until Maman's friend Ciara gave her the bright idea this morning of putting a book under me so I can stand on that!!!

I'm so glad she did because I had a great 5 minutes playing in my bouncing entertainer system. Apparently I'll be able to make myself bounce way more when I get a bit older and my chair turns 360 degrees too but I'll have to check all that out a bit later. In the meantime I really enjoyed the flashing lights and toys!

My buddies

My friend Elliott and his Yummy Mummy Ciara kindly invited Maman and me to their house this morning and I got to chill out with some of my special buddies! From left to right on the group photo you can see:

me (@ nearly 4 months), Naiima (nearly 5 months), Poppy (nearly 9 months), Donnchadh (just turned 5 months), Jack (8 months - I met him for the first time today) and Elliott (nearly 9 months)

I needed a bit more space to pose properly though so I pushed them out of the way...

I also got to have some quality time with Donnchadh...

he's got such soft skin

ok you can hold my hand

but I still need to be able to suck my fingers!

Reading by myself

Ok so there aren't actually any words in my book but I still enjoy turning the pages of my book all by myself :-)

Giggling with Isabell

I went to visit Isabell on Saturday evening and had a lovely time rolling around on the floor in her apartment while Maman, Isabell and Audrey had yummy taccos. I know they were yummy because my milk tasted scrummy the next day :-) I was even allowed to play with Isabell for a bit before going to sleep...

A mini bouncing Tigger!

Maman's friends Emilie & Audrey kindly gave me this cool bouncer for my dedication. It clips onto the door frame and then I get to stand in it and bounce! I'm still a bit small for it so I only get to try it out for a couple of minutes each day but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Check out the video Maman took

Queen of Hearts

Try and guess how many hearts are on my top :-)

Standing is my favourite position

Reading with Daddy

hmmm I'd just started figuring out that Maman reads to me in French and Daddy reads to me in English when Daddy confused me by reading me one of my French books?!?! We had fun together but I've asked him to stick to English books from now on!!!!

Trying to catch my 1st laugh

I laughed a proper laugh for the first time on Monday (aged 15 weeks) and Maman has been trying to catch it on video ever since!! She sort of managed in this video...

My 1st visit to Thurles

I met up with my cousins yesterday and they helped me settle back into being in Ireland by letting me stay with them in Thurles. We had initially gone up for dinner only but Auntie Rachel offered us all beds as she could see that Maman and Daddy were a bit tired.

It was amazing, Auntie Rachel had everything! I got to sleep in a cool multi-coloured travel cot and in a sleeping bag that was exactly my size. Maman & Daddy were also given toothbrushes and pyjamas!

Check out this photo of me with my 3 cousins. Maman also caught me snuggling with my big cous Aoife :-)

Thank you for letting me stay at your house Auntie Rachel and Dave. I really enjoyed my first visit to your house!

off to see my cousins

snuggling with my big cousin Aoife

I used to look tiny in this pram!

I love my OBAIBI outfit

Thank you for my Obaibi outfit Granjay don't you think I look cute with the matching shoes that Maman bought me?

My 1st Flight

I took my first flight last Sunday from Paris to Cork!

Maman had to strap me around her with a special baby strap but I didn't really pay much attention because I had this weird bug attached to my wrist that I couldn't shake off. It just stayed there the whole time and kept me occupied until I fell asleep!

I think my ears started to hurt me as the plane began it's descent because I woke up with a start but Maman fed me and everything was ok again.

Here are some photos of me on the plane. The last photo is particularly cool as the kind immigration officer stamped my passport so I'll always remember the 18th September 2011!

Granjay's leading me astray!

tut tut look what Granjay tried to get me to drink the other day...

Chewing on poor Sophie

I've started chewing on poor Sophie! I did ask her if she minded but she never bothered to answer me so I think it's ok don't you?

I'm a little water baby

I'm really getting the hang of my back stroke these days!!!

Welcoming Daddy to France

Daddy finally joined Maman and me in France last Saturday. We met him at the airport with a special sign so he would know who we were!!!

We then had a fun afternoon relaxing in the sun and swimming in the pool.

Proof I can roll over!

Highlights from my trip to Lyon

Maman, Granjay and I went to Lyon to visit Tata Emilie, Tonton Simon and bump Jiminy Cricket last week. Sadly it was only a flying visit but I still had a lovely time. Maman even shared a first experience with me as she hadn't seen Tata Emilie's apartment.

We took the TGV (fast train) down and I was allowed to use my future cousin's car seat, cot and buggy during my stay :-) (Thank you soooo much Tata Emilie)

While we were in Lyon Maman had a great time shopping for clothes and French books for me! We also met Granjay's friend Caroline. I particularly enjoyed going to the park as I got to see real live Giraffes. I couldn't add them to my giraffe collection though as these ones were way too big for me to carry home!!!!!

Here is a selection of photos taken during the trip.
