My very own passport

It's official I can now fly to different countries with Daddy & Maman :-)

My passport arrived today and Maman kindly took a photo of me with it as well as my gorgeous passport cover that I was kindly given by Annemieke and her lovely family. I'll be able to thank her in person soon as I'm booked to take the ferry to France on 27th August with Maman, Grandpa and Granjay and then I'm flying back on 18th September with Maman & Daddy who will have joined us for our last week in France.

Play time with Daddy, Maman & Izzy

I had some play time with Daddy, Maman & Izzy - they all joined me on my quilt.

Maman ended up noticing that my eyes are a darker blue than Daddy and Isabell's which has now got them all thinking my eyes could actually turn brown!

4 kgs and cool!!!

I got weighed again today and as you've probably guessed from the title of this post I now weigh exactly 4kgs (8.13 lbs)

I heard the nurses telling Maman that she and I are doing a fantastic job and that I'm friving or maybe the word was thriving I'm not sure but it made Maman smile so whatever the word is it can only be positive :-)

Now that I've reached 4 kgs I've been lent sun glasses from my friend Lily who used them when she was 0-3 months. She's a big 3 year old now but she seems really cool so I hope you think I look cool too in her shades!?

Tummy time

Maman has been lying me on my tummy since the day I was born so that I can use the time to lift my head and strengthen my neck muscles before I go to sleep. It's such a great exercise I love it!

I've been managing to lift my head each day for longer periods and I've now also realised that if I hold my head up long enough, I can turn my head so I end up facing the other side of the room.  I really can't wait until I can focus on things properly as I can only imagine the things I think I'm seeing in the room they call sitting room...

Air Guitar Championships

I'm thinking of signing up for the air guitar championships. I really think I've got the hang of it. I mean I even close my eyes now and imagine the tune in my head ;-)

My pixie photos

We went to have a look at the photos that the people from Pixi Photos took of Daddy, Maman & me a week ago and we ended up taking the following two photos. I love the one of the 3 of us. In fact I love it so much that I asked Maman to finally take down the broken clock above the fireplace so she could hang the photo there. It actually looks cool as it's above the photos of Daddy & Maman's wedding.

Hello sailor

Check out my little sailor's outfit...

Do you think Maman will let me sail this summer?

Swinging chairs are great

My friend Poppy lent me her swinging chair as she's now too big for it.
I'm still getting used to it but I think I like it

100% lovable

I thought I should let you in on a secret...

I can actually do really angry too!!!

It's OK though because Maman still thinks I'm 100% lovable

I like to ponder things

but Daddy & Maman think I'm just pulling funny faces

my 2nd sunny day !!

Today was my 2nd sunny day since I was born!!! I keep hearing that Ireland is due loads of sun in July & August so that must be why June has been so rainy.

We made the most of the sun by putting my tent up in the back garden when we got back from church. I slept in the tent while Maman and Daddy enjoyed the sun rays on them with Auntie Juliette & James.

Maman joined me for a while in my tent
then left me on my own
they wrapped me up in a fleece as it started getting a bit windy
Daddy thought it was funny how Maman & I were sort of sleeping the same way...

I met Auntie Juliette today :-)

Auntie Juliette came to see me today with James. I ended up sleeping for a lot of the time she was here but I had a lovely time in her arms too. She even spent a bit of time with me in my new tent outside.

Meeting my Great Granny Ross

We drove to this small village called Schull yesterday so that I could meet my Great Granny Ross. Her first name is Helen and she is Grandpa's Mummy and Maman's Granny.

Apparently all my Great Grandparents on Maman's side lived in Schull just down the road from each other when Maman was my age and so Grandpa built a house for him and Granjay which ended up being their holiday House that they used to go to every summer for July & August. That must have been such fun for Maman, Tata Emilie, Tonton Daniel and Uncle Ben. Schull is also the place where Daddy & Maman got married :-)

Great Granny Ross lives in the hospital now. Sadly she didn't seem to know who any of us were and she never did any talking but you could tell that she really wanted to hold me in her arms because she managed to get her arm out from under her covers and stretched it out so Maman could lie me against her. I actually started getting hungry and ended up doing my weird kissing thing up against Great Granny's cheek while I was in her arms which made her give me the biggest smile. She really has a lovely smile.

Here's a photo of me with Great Granny Ross and Maman leaning in. The other photo is of me on Schull pier - Daddy & Maman insist it's much nicer when the sun is shining!!!

A is for Amélie :-)

I'm 3 weeks old today!!!!

My Father's Day present to Daddy

I surprised Daddy with a photo on Facebook for Father's Day and then got him a personalised photo mug as a present. It was a bit late arriving so he only got it today but better late than never as they say right?!?

a photo of me on the mug

and a photo of my big sis Leah on the mug

My dance moves

Ok so I kind of got mixed up between my left and right but I had great fun practicing my dance moves ...

you put your left arm up

you put your right arm up

oops silly me it's the left arm first!!!

stretching in my sleep

Apparently I love to stretch in my sleep.

Obviously I'm not aware I'm doing it but Maman says I'm constantly wriggling in my sleep...

My trip to Apple

Maman introduced me to her work place yesterday and I got to meet loads of people.

Philip and Grace held me and I even got a free blanket with the Apple logo on it!

My very own Apple blanket

this man is called Phil & had a kind voice!

This lady is called Grace

she helped me find a comfortable sleeping position!

My new play mat

Auntie Tina's Mum Pam kindly gifted me this cool fisher price play mat. I heard Maman say she was actually jealous that she can't lie on it herself!!!

Becoming a true friend

I made a new friend recently see my post from a few days back http://lesaventuresdameliesophie.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-new-friend.html and I just wanted to let you know that we're fast becoming inseparable!

I've actually started holding onto my friend in my sleep now!

Rain doesn't stop us!

I'm so glad Maman thinks the same way I do!

It started to rain just as we were getting ready to go out for a walk so I got worried that we'd have to stay inside but thankfully Maman just popped me into my moby carrier and took an umbrella to protect us against the rain :-) I would have been very annoyed if we'd had to cancel the outing.

The Foley-Gaillards came to visit

Maman's friend Claire came to see us today with Dean and Solene.

Maman spoke to Claire in the same language she speaks to me in and I noticed that Claire spoke the same language to Dean & Solene too. I think I've figured out that it's French but I'm not 100% sure yet.

Whatever it is, it's different to the language Daddy speaks to me in!

Solene aged 8 months
We had some fun together in the garden before it started to rain
Maman put the tent up for us

Auntie Tina is staying with us :-)

I'm having so much fun with Auntie Tina!

She's come to stay with us for the week and is helping Maman out loads. I've lost count of the number of nappies she's kindly changed for me and she also has a really cool way of burping me too. Daddy thinks she's great too because she cooked dinner for them the last two nights :-)

Here's a photo of me with Tina. I put my hood up for the 2nd photo so I could look like a little gangsta!

I met Stephen today

He's Maman's first cousin which makes him my first cousin once removed!

He had something strange and prickly on his chin but was always smiling at me so I reckoned he was a cool guy.

Anyway his hugs were great :-)
