Granjay & Grandpa's pool

The next time I go for a swim in Granjay & Grandpa's pool I'm going to have to use the fingers on my other hand to add all the times up together ;-) I'm still not too sure about the whole being dunked completely under water by Maman but I love being on my tummy and back now as it means I can kick my legs as much as I want. I've now shared the pool with Maman, Granjay, Grandpa, Tonton Dan, Tatiana, Pauline, my friend Juliette with her parents and Maman's friends Emilie and Matthieu! So many people already!

I love my Tonton Dan :-)

I've been able to have some very special quality time with Tonton Dan. Don't get me wrong I love all my aunties and uncles equally but I have some lovely photos of me with Tonton Dan that I wanted to share with you ...

I've landed in France

Woohooo I've landed in France :-) Maman has been taking so many photos that I'm going to have to give you the link to the photos she's been putting on her Facebook page if you're interested in seeing them however I'll still pop in some separate posts as there are certain things I want to tell you about in more detail!

In the meantime here are photos that were taken in the first 24hrs of me arriving in France. We stopped for a walk & some lunch in Cherbourg before driving on to Granjay and Grandpa's house in Avilly St Leonard. I then woke up to beautiful blue sky the following morning :-)

My middle fingers

Ok it's time I admitted it....

Yes I do suck my fingers....

No it's not my thumb, it's my two middle fingers! They fit better and seem to also taste slightly nicer too!

My 1st ferry trip

I took the ferry for the first time on Saturday 27th August having just turned 12 weeks old. Sadly I'd had to say goodbye to Daddy for 10 days but I'll be seeing him soon now as he comes to join us in France on the 10th September.

Anyway Maman, Granjay, Grandpa & Tonton Dan took the ferry with me. We drove to Rosslare and then got a cabin on the ferry where we slept for the night before arriving into a place called Cherbourg in the morning.

Ferries are really big. This one had 10 floors! Maman took me outside to show me how windy it can get out on deck. I go to have some alone time with her for a couple of hours in the afternoon while the others went to the cinema. Then they all kindly let me join them at the table in the restaurant for dinner even though I'd already had my milk! Here are some of my favourite photos from my time on the ferry...

Granjay's cross-stitch

Granjay made me a gorgeous cross-stitch pattern and got it framed so that Maman and Daddy can hang it up for me. We've decided to put it on the wall in the sitting room so that people can see it as it's such a nice pattern. I love that people can see the date I was born too. I just wish I could cuddle the teddy on the picture cos she looks so soft and kind.

My 1st swim

I went for my first swim on 25th August when I was 11 weeks old. My friend Naima and her parents Alison and Ricardo kindly let us join them at the pool they go to as members of a gym. The pool is apparently a special therapeutic one heated to bath temperature. It was fantastic :-) I loved it and had a great time floating on my back and kicking my legs. Daddy had to look away the first time Maman blew in my face and completely dunked me under water but he looked the second time she did it. I must admit I think I still need to get a bit more used to being dunked but after a few whimpers I moved on to trying out a bit of tummy time in the water!

Here are some of the photos that were taken to mark the occasion...
